Can Komphela Get The Monkey Off His Back With The Telkom Knockout Title? – Reader’s Voice

After a hard-fought win over Chippa United, the Glamour Boys are through to the semi-finals of the competition. The Kaizer Chiefs coach said after the game that his defence has been performing well lately and the scoresheet seems to support his statements.

With two of the other bigger clubs already knocked out of the competition, it seems as if the competition for Chiefs to lose.

Some fans will call it parking the bus, but some call it strategy. We've seen it work for teams abroad as well as locally and everyone knows that a good defence wins cups and Chiefs are a testimony to that.

Can Chiefs finally give Komphela his first piece of silverware and get the monkey off his back? Only time will tell.

For now, though he has a tricky task against The Students, a win will get him much closer to lifting his first piece of silverware.
