Reports: Zinedine Zidane Warns Real Madrid President About Cristiano Ronaldo Issue

By Kurt Buckerfield - Oct 13, 2017 08:31 AM @KurtLaduma

It is believed that manager Zinedine Zidane has shared a concern about Cristiano Ronaldo with Real Madrid’s president.

'Ronaldo The Best He's Ever Been'

According to Don Balon, the Frenchman has expressed a worry involving the Portuguese superstar, who recently qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup with his country, to Florentino Perez.

Zidane is said to be concerned that Ronaldo could suffer from burnout this season, especially with the dips in form from the likes of Gareth Bale, Marco Asensio and Karim Benzema.

Due to their lack of meaningful contributions in recent games, more pressure is on the 32-year-old forward, who is yet to score a league goal from his three matches so far this season after he was suspended for the first four games.

In the previous campaign, Zidane had the luxury of resting Ronaldo on many occasions in the league, but considering their sluggish start to their title defence, the manager might feel hesitant to do that this time out.

With Alvaro Morata having been sold to Chelsea and Benzema being injured, Los Blancos appear short on numbers in attack.

The publication claimed that Ronaldo understands how being rested last season benefited his game, especially as he was able to get better as the campaign went on.

9 Top Attackers Who Won't Be At 2018 World Cup

This was evident in Real's last five UEFA Champions League games in 2016/17, during which he scored 10 goals, including a brace in the final against Juventus.

Do you think Real might need to sign a few attacking players in January? Let us know in the comments section below.

All RM need to do is sell the forever injured bale n replace him with a couple of youngsters. Other than that i c no problems with cr7. He'll deliver at the right time n concerning the "burnout" its only good that the coach is preconscious..

And it's not easy nor is it gonna get easier to try to match what young Messi does and will continue to do...so the rest is definitely an imperative if Penald'or is to stay alive and not burn out or breakdown.
